The beauty of this Church found in the middle of Spillville, captures the beauty of NE Iowa. It's amazing architecture was designed by Czech settlers who migrated to the area in the 1800's. The oldest Czech Catholic Church in the US completed in 1860 with an addition of a bell tower in 1869 and a sanctuary in 1873. The original pipe organ installed in 1876 still remains and was played by Antonin Dvorak during his stay in the area. Nestled on a hill side in the middle of town and surrounded by Nuns quarters and a cemetery St. Wenceslaus draws visitors and musicians from around the globe each year.
