AUTUMN LEAVES OF WEST HOUSTON TO CELEBRATE GRAND OPENING EVENT
“We are greatly anticipating our grand opening event, which will celebrate the completion of our building, our first residents, and allow the Houston community to experience the services and amenities that we offer for our residents suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia or memory loss,” said Bonnie Berkman, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Constant Care Family Management. “We invite the public to see our beautiful building, meet our incredible staff and experience the caring atmosphere we provide for our residents.”
The event, which is open to the public, will provide a scenic tour of the new community, a ceremonial ribbon cutting, live entertainment, as well as heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
Guests will have the opportunity to view the interior design model based on the latest scientific research. From the type and color of the light, to the number of windows, to the type of artwork, carpet, paint, and furniture, everything was chosen with the intention of providing the best environment for residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The private dining rooms have two aquariums which research shows will create a calming effect and increase appetites—priorities for families living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
The community also has its own Culinary Director who freshly prepares food from scratch while working with a nutritionist and dietician to create meals enjoyed by residents in private dining rooms. The residents also experience life enrichment programs that use touch, laughter, music, and dance to engage senses and personality. Its size gives residents access to the entire building and three outdoor courtyards.
