The Olympic Peninsula, in the northwest corner of Washington State, is a moss-covered wonderland, full of waterfalls, lakes, mountain vistas, and rocky beaches. My girls and I enjoyed a whirlwind 2-day loop through the Olympics in May 2013, staying at the toasty Sol Duc Hot Springs. Just a short hike upstream from this relaxing resort is the beautiful three-pronged Sol Duc Falls.
