Medellín is Falling to Ruins
Recently miners, truckers and several other groups have all been protesting in Medellín, Colombia. The situation isn't looking good though. Currently, all groups are actively protesting; and they aren't just pointing signs and fingers, they're throwing rocks at cars and exploding them, not to mention blocking streets and killing innocent civilians. More recently, however, less than an hour ago, they started blocking off roads in Medellín, like they've been doing in all parts of the country.
The miners are currently protesting for multiple reasons, all of which they blame on Colombia's new president: Juan Manuel Santos. One of the multiple and main reasons is that Santos has been selling several mines to large (usually American) companies. This in turn, has unemployed a large portion of the nation's people, which left many miners very angry. Moreover, they are willing to kill innocent people to get their message across, which has been happening more and more recently.
Oscar and Lorena Cardenas were one of the many recent people to be mugged, claim that it was "scary" watching the man almost shoot what looked to be a double-barrel shotgun at a man who refused to give him his money. They also claim that he had a child forcefully carrying ammunition and other arms.
