Lashanda Wildgoose to represent The Bahamas at Miss Global International pageant
Miss Global Bahamas is a poised, educated, talented, outgoing and purpose-driven young woman. 24 years old and a graduate of Missouri Valley College, Lashanda has always been known for her big smile and engaging, loving character. She is an avid reader and would tell you that any time spent with a book is time well spent, and is always an opportunity to learn something new.
Lashanda, who is born to Wellington and Paulette Wildgoose of Freeport has always been interested in helping her community, an interest developed from her time at St. George’s High where she was a member of various community service focused clubs, such as the Anchor Club. Over the years she has proven that she always strives for excellence and steps up to any challenges placed in her path; such as graduating from high school as the Salutatorian of her graduating class in 2005 and graduating Cum Laude from college in 2009.
Today, Miss Wildgoose is an educator, a career which has proven to be a rewarding, stimulating and challenging choice for her.
She sees this pageant as an opportunity to be a positive role model for young women and young people in general, as well as a proud ambassador for The Bahamas. She also wants to use it to advocate for her platform “Sexual Abuse Awareness”, which is an issue near and dear to her heart as it affects too many young people in the Bahamas.
She is excited about everything this pageant has provided her thus far and is determined to enjoy everything else that comes along with it.
