This iReport is part of an assignment:
Are chemical weapons a ‘red line’?
OH NO! HERE WE GO AGAIN.....
I am no authority on chemical warfare and I am certainly no expert on diplomacy over in the Middle East. But I do have a degree in Political Science and I know I am damn sure sick of all these "interventions" we do over there--saving people from each other.
What about the people here in the United States? Our economy is so gingerly trying to recover. We have a fast food strike going on this very minute over the poverty wages paid to workers who most of us see almost on a daily basis.
TOO MUCH IS WRONG HERE AT HOME, to go sticking our nose, AGAIN, in the crazy business of the Arab states. Iran, then Afghanistan, now Syria?
President Obama needs to take a deep breath and repeat after me: THE UNITED STATES is NOT THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!"
The turbulent Middle East is always in the midst of one war or fight. That's just how things are and have been for some time. The U.S. should denounce whatever is going on in Syria at the United Nations. Send a diplomat over there to try and smoke a peace pipe AND THEN MIND ITS OWN BUSINESS!
Enough with jumping in every time some two bit turbaned despot wants to eliminate some clan in their backwards country. If Iran and Afghanistan has taught out poor, beleaguered country anything, it is this:
JUST SAY NO TO MORE INTERVENTIONIST ADVENTURES!
There is ENOUGH on our own plates here in the good ole USA to deal with.
WE ARE NOT THE SAVIORS of the WORLD! Happy to help to keep the peace but we need another misguided intervention into Syria like we need a hole in our collective heads. No, No, and No again!
