Originally I saw this article about a 6 year old girl who must consume large amounts of cornstarch to stay alive because of some diease that makes it impossible for them to produce some enzymes important to digestion and
"Heather Edwards must stick to a strict diet with no fruit, no milk and no candy. Her liver cannot process the sugars. She suffers from what is called Glycogen Storage Disease or GSD."

"Frederick County 6-year-old's survival depends on cornstarch; rare disease kills when undiagnosed"
"Aggie’s doctor, David Weinstein, renowned for his work with the disease, has her on a diet of 1/8 to 1/2 cup of cornstarch six times a day. She gulps it down in a solution when she is awake."
"“This is a very treatable disease,” Weinstein said.
He has 450 patients in 42 countries who depend on the cornstarch regimen."
"Overall, according to a study in British Columbia, approximately 2.3 children per 100 000 births (1 in 43,000) have some form of glycogen storage disease. In the United States, they are estimated to occur in 1 per 20,000-25,000 births. A Dutch study estimated it to be 1 in 40,000."
I have to be honest and say that I don't know a single thing about Glycogen Storage Disease, But I do know quite a bit about the chemical based artificial additives and something that I think the doctors are not aware of, But since this is the second time I am writing this story hopefully those that did read it have started to help their patients with a new way of dealing with this GSD thing.
But what I do know can and will help!
This disease is blamed on a genetic problem where certain enzymes that are produced by the body are not being made and without the right treatment the end result will most certainly be death I know nobody is in a hurry to die, especially not a 6 year old girl.
I originally found this webpage back in, I think it was 2006, or 2007, It was on the EPA website and for some reason it was moved to the NOAA site. I'm still puzzled why it moved to the NOAA cause it just has nothing to do with the weather!
Anyway the point of this is what the Environmental Protection Agency says about what they refer to as Azo Compounds.
"Allura Red AC is a red azo dye that goes by several names including: Allura Red,Food Red 17, C.I. 16035, FD&C Red 40, E129" }
What does this mean to someone with GSD?
Ok well all of the petroleum based coal tar food dyes used as FD&C Food, Drug and Cosmetic dyes are Azo Compounds! And what the EPA says about the toxicity of what appears to be all of the FD&C and the D&C dyes (drugs and cosmetics only) follows...
Acutely toxic by all routes of exposure. Some of these compounds bind strongly to essential enzymes, inactivating them."
What that means (I think) is that all products, foods, beverages, drugs and pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, toiletries and even clothing like Denim is physically toxic to everyone.
I know that the dyes were approved with the notion that everyone is safe and only a few consumers would suffer any ill effects. (way back in 1906, I wonder just how much those people who approved the dyes knew about the toxicity of petroleum based coal tar???)
But the truth is that 100% of every man, woman and child on the planet is absolutely allergic by way of the "NATURE" of toxic chemicals like the petroleum based coal tar used to make all of the dyes. And again (sorry for sounding like a broken record) Everyone Allergic, no one is immune. (period!)
The problem is that since the dyes were approved and since nobody questions any of it, it goes on and on and doctors spend your money fixing things with the same thing that caused the problem in the first place.
Doctors give their patients drugs and pharmaceuticals and since all of them contain the dyes and since all the dyes are equally toxic than it can be said that anyone with GSD might want to suspect anything they are using that contains any dyes and honestly that goes for any of the artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, or any combination of them.
Like Fruit Loops, or Doritos that contain something like 5 different colors, artificial flavor and some preservative.
You want to have Chick Fil A? The chicken contains TBHQ, a toxic chicken fat preservative, they give it a misleading name by calling it an antioxidant.
While it is in fact an antioxidant, it's not the good kind like Coffee, Tea, Cranberries and such. It simply prevents oxygen damage to the fat preventing the natural occurance of rotting meat stuffs. The same type of preservative is used in all pepperoni and sausage that isn't organic and natural. BHA and BHT prevent oxygen from damaging the product by blocking the meat from rotting naturally.
All the sauces at Chick Fil A contain Calcium Disodium EDTA and that stuff is made from formaldehyde, cyanide and lye.
Embalming fluid, a known deadly toxic (to humans & other living things) poison and lye. I remember lye because my grandfather dumped bucketfulls into the pit of his old outhouse to fight the putrid odor of what happens to an outhouse.
While these additives may not do the same thing as the pteroleum based coal tar dyes, They are as bad, if not worse.
All the additives cause swelling of the brain stem and that in and of itself is how autism occurs. The sad thing is that all of these disorders, aliments and so called diseases are caused by ignorance of our medical professionals who have basicallt failed all of us by not doing the right thing.
If the dyes are not a problem for the people with GSD, it is what caused the genetic damage that lead to the disease in the first place.
Any contact with any products that conitain any of the additives should be avoided by anyone with any illnesses because the damage they do alone will make things and your life much worse than it needs to be.
If you absolutely must take pharmaceuticals, until such time that they get off their butts and do something about the toxic poison in all of their products, it may be best for you to choose to take dye free benadryl to counteract the allergic reaction that you are having, but I doubt the Bendryl will help any damage the azo dyes do to the production of enzymes in the body like those produced as bile by the gall bladder and the pancreatic juice, an enzyme used in the lower intestine to facilitate proper digestion. And here we go with another feature of the wonder chemical additives but I will save that for later!
If the dyes and other additives damage the production of enzymes produced by the pancreas is it not possible that they damage the pancreas itself resulting in the millions of cases of diabetes running rampant throughout America?
You can bet on that one, because it's proably pretty close especially since I adopted a fully organic and natural diet and lifestyle to avoid contact with any and all artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. If you've read anything else I have written, You shall see that in July of 2010 I was to begin insulin injections that I would have to have every day for the rest of my life and that the type II diabetes that was graduating me into full blown type I diabetes with those daily injections is now completely and totally gone!
Does that mean that when I stopped the additives the damage stopped and my body began to function normally? I mean is that even possible? My pancreas started working again and not when I eat some natural sugars my body deals with them accordingly and I do not have the same problems as I did prior to the changes I made to my life.
This is only meant to help and isn't challenging the work the doctors have done, But I am hoping to point out that maybe there's a little something that you guys overlooked, especially since nobody questions the approval of the additives.
The dyes and other additives are killing everyone and it doesn't have to be that way!
BAN ALL ARTIFICIAL ADDITIVES NOW!
