The Sons of Scotland Pipe Band of Ottawa, Canada, took a trip to Scotland this summer to play at various shows, parades, and compete at the World Pipe Band Championships. A highlight of the journey was a private performance at Balmoral Castle for Her Majesty The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their children. Dancers of the MacCulloch School, the Katharine Robinson School and the Sherry Sharpe School brought a great show to life with their wonderful dancing. Guests and parents enjoyed meeting the Royal Family after the concert on the grounds of the Balmoral Estate, and there was a lovely reception with the performers afterwards; they got to drink tea with The Queen! What a grand day it was for us all, a real honour for the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band of Ottawa, the dancers and guests.
