This iReport is part of an assignment:
Raising America: How parents see the news
Nomads International Soccer School
Players will complete their education via independent study provided by the San Diego Unified School District and train up to 8 sessions per week. Players report daily at 8:30am and a morning training session is followed by a trip to LA Fitness for weight training, a swim in the pool or other activity, shower then lunch. After this the boys will study at the soccer field for a minimum of four (4) hours. Four (4) full-time coaches will oversee the players training and education to ensure that they are successful on and off the field. Training includes Speed and Agility training with Speed to Burn once a week. Sessions will be conducted where players will have opportunities to sit and discuss tactics with Derek Armstrong, former national team coach and 27 year veteran of UCSD men's soccer (retired) utilizing video analysis. Schedule is subject to change but this will give you an idea of what we are aiming for.
Staff Coaches include: Derek Armstrong (A License), Nader Badawi (A License), David Armstrong (A License), Tsaki Demirdjian (B License), Hector Diaz (B License) and other assistance coaches as they are available.
Players will compete in the US Soccer Development Academy, Southern California Developmental League or the San Diego Academy League.
