Siem Reap, Cambodia
This iReport is part of an assignment:
Cambodia’s spectacular ruins
Cambodia's ancient sculptures in the forests
Cambodia is really a mystic place with a rich history. It is brimming with scores of monuments and mythological motifs that tell a fascinating past.
In order to see the ancient stone carvings-"Valley of a 1000 Lingas", my friends and I decided to go hiking in the mountain of Kbal Spean, Siem Reap. The path ran zigzag up the hill. There are numerous trees, sandstones and waterfalls in the jungle.
When we saw the breathtaking sculptures of Hindu gods and Lingas carved on the river beds and banks, we were all in awe. They are just like precious treasures in the wilderness.
