SAN DIEGO SHERIFF BILL GORE: THE POWER to CONTINUALLY DISAPPOINT
It's been a long, hot summer and San Diego Sheriff Bill Gore finds himself in hot water once more.
In summer 2011, it was the infamous Coronado Mansion murders, I mean, "suicide" and "accident" that got folks all riled up at the perceived incompetency of the San Diego Sheriff. In summer 2013, it was the hands-off behavior that Gore exhibited while handling the Hannah Anderson "ordeal."
The Facebook page: "Hannah Anderson is Guilty" has lots of questions for the Sheriff, along with many others who remain perplexed at how the law dropped the ball on this one.
The fact that Jim DiMaggio was shot dead by FBI sharp-shooters in the Idaho wilderness on the thinking DiMaggio was a "kidnapper," when that might not necessarily be the case, has caused intransigent Gore to close the book shut on the Anderson saga.
Which is exactly why Bill Gore, paper-shuffling bureaucrat extraordinaire, continues to disappoint all who want answers & seek justice for the victims he seems to casually toss aside in his official haste to cover his (& others) behinds.
First we have the 9/11 terrorists who made their homes & planned their strategies right here in San Diego, right under the (un)watchful eye of the FBI--headed in 2001 by then FBI San Diego office manager Bill Gore.
Many critics claim that if FBI bureaucrat Bill Gore had been doing his job back then, 9/11 might never have even happened! According to a story in the LA Times, Gore stated "I was convinced by the time I left the FBI [in] January that there was no Al Qaeda support network in San Diego prior to or after 9/11, and that no group of people wittingly helped the hijackers in furtherance of the 9/11 attacks.”
However, the LA Times noted that a "900-page report, the House and Senate intelligence committees criticize the pre-Sept. 11 counter terrorism analysis done by the Agent Bill Gore in San Diego, noting that intelligence failures were especially obvious there, where two hijackers were known to a longtime FBI informant."
Had FBI Agent Bill Gore been doing his job, 9/11 quite possibly been avoided. The human intel, was readily available to him, but Bill Gore was incapable of interpreting it. This is not all.
Paper-shuffler and teflon-coated Gore's career seemed not to have suffered. He got himself in more trouble at the 1992 FBI Stand-off at Ruby Ridge.
The tragedy of Ruby Ridge: under Bill Gore’s direct orders, a 14 year old boy’ mother, Vicky Weaver was killed in cold blood. "She was holding her infant. Bill Gore’s role in these “liquidations” of unarmed Americans — a mother and young son — is undisputed. Because of his orders to kill these innocent and unarmed Americans, our government paid out 3 million-dollar settlement.,"said www.saveoursheriff.com.
Just like in San Diego with the 9/11 terrorist, the FBI was criticized for its actions or lack of actions." A dozen agents were suspended or demoted for lying about what happened. Gore was not among them. He was promoted to assistant FBI director and returned to Washington, D.C., in 1994. However, Gore was among four agents who refused to testify at a U.S. Senate hearing on Ruby Ridge. He said his lawyer advised against it because an Idaho prosecutor was pursuing murder charges against agents," said the Save Our Sheriff website.
Gore left the FBI after 32 years in January 2003. The Sheriff contends his departure was voluntary, and he rejects the notion that local FBI agents could have thwarted the terrorist acts.
But teflon-coated Gore had made some friends among San Diego's good ole boys and in 2009, Gore was appointed by the County Board of Supervisors after long-time Sheriff, Bill Kolender, retired. Gore, the Under-Sheriff, was Kolender’s hand picked successor who then won election as Sheriff in 2010. There is talk that I have heard that Gore is contemplating retirement in 2014, and many of us hope that is true.
Then came what is known as the Coronado Mansion Mystery. In July 2011, Arizona millionaire Jonah Shacknai's son was found badly injured after a fall in his Coronado mansion, The boy was later removed from life support and died of his injuries. Shacknai's girlfriend, Rebecca Zahau, was found a few days later, hanging from the mansion balcony, supposedly a "suicide." That's what the Sheriff's investigation, headed by Bill Gore, determined when they held their hastily called press conference on a Friday before Labor Day 2011. Gore and his team declared that Rebecca Zahau, despondent over the death of her boyfriend's son, committed suicide by binding herself and jumping off the balcony.
San Diegans and others around the world were outraged, including myself. No one believed that what the Sheriff said really happened as he said it did. Much talk went on that Gore and some others were paid off by the filthy rich Shacknai to make the scandal go away.
Recently, the family of Rebecca Zahau has sued in federal court, to reopen the investigation and here's hoping the family receives some answers of what REALLY went on with their loved one.
Answers. Yes, that is also what the Hannah Anderson is Guilty Facebook page also wants. Here we are again, with Bill Gore playing coy once more. The resourceful bureaucrat, who always seems to land on his feet when there is a troubling case he is involved in, is now saying that he will not spill the beans about Hannah Anderson because he is protecting her since she is a "minor." (Anderson Cooper /CNN video)
Gore has once again clammed up, as is his habit & refuses to reopen the Anderson case, despite conjecture in the community that Hannah Anderson is not the "victim" he proclaims she is & may have had a hand in exterminating her own family members & manipulating Jame DiMaggio, who was hot for her, to help her cover it up and get away.
Hannah Anderson even tricked Bill Gore's old FBI pals to shoot to kill "family friend Uncle Jim" by pretending to be kidnapped so the sharp-shooter would take DiMaggio out in the backwoods of Idaho.
Let's not forget that Hannah ended up being the inheritor of "Uncle Jim"s" $112,000 work life insurance policy. I hate to say this, but a cunning 16-year old seems to have played our "illustrious" Sheriff. The girl is running around town now like a celebrity. She & her slow-witted father are living high on the hog, off donations that good-hearted but clueless people have raised at restaurant and car wash fund-raisers.
Papa Anderson has a publicist now, who, hopefully is advising his daughter Hannah, to "act" more like a "victim" who "suffered" and not some 16-year old Lolita. The father is also entertaining offers from book publishers and movie folks, according to a recent interview he gave. The father also quit his job and changed his mind about moving back to Tennessee to work. Now he is planning to "buy a house" in California for him & Hannah to live in, while she "recovers."
The formerly poverty-stricken family seems to have found a way to make (blood) money off the tragedy of Hannah's mother Christina & brother Ethan's sad death at the Boulevard home of Jim DiMaggio.
If Sheriff Bill Gore would at least acknowledge that so much about this case, JUST LIKE THE REBECCA ZAHAU CASE, cries out for more investigation, then perhaps the cry of people like myself and others for justice, might be stilled.
But that would be expecting too much of this man who has made a long career out of incompetency & passing the buck. Gore knows how to survive in the cut throat world of bureaucratic intrigue. He is adept at kissing up to climb the career ladder. He knows the right people in town to cover his tracks when he inevitably screws up. He is part of the San Diego Mafia of dirty pols. A protest march I attended against his crony, D.A. Bonnie Dumanis, had people shouting his name was "Whore Gore."
I hope this man retires in 2014. I hope that he can live with himself & at night with what he does during the day. I have a feeling he doesn't really care all that much & sleeps just fine. God Bless Christina & Ethan Anderson & family dog Cali.
