As a member of the US military I agree that something needs to be done. However I feel that it is important that the people's voice is heard. We cannot ignore the representative democracy we have. We are tired of fighting. A similar action that happened in Libya would work best. Only the Syrians can determine their own fate. They have asked for help and if voted for we should help. If voted against we should not help. I feel we should help. But I would not agree if the people of the United States don't agree and it is voted against. My personnel views cannot go against the Constitution I have sworn to defend. President Obama is right that chemical weapon use is wrong. We need to do something. But we cannot have another Iraq on our hands. If the people don't support military action in Syria we cannot intervene. And if voted for and the people disagree then it is up to the people to elect new leaders who will not let this happen again.
