Albania, Saudi Arabia, France, Turkey backs US strike against Syria
Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal at a meeting of Arab League foreign ministers in Cairo said
“I am here before you today to appeal to your brotherly and humanitarian sentiments and ask you to back the international operation against the destructive war machine” of the Syrian regime, Jarba told the Cairo meeting.
The Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal said that opposing military intervention in Syria would encourage the Damascus regime to “pursue its crimes.”
“Opposition to international action only encourages the regime to pursue its crimes,” Prince Saud told the Arab League meeting.
France is still ready to take action in Syria alongside the US, despite UK MPs blocking British involvement, President Francois Hollande has said.
Turkish foreign ministry spokesman said “We would have preferred no delay, but the will is clearly there and we respect the internal workings of U.S. democracy,”.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that an intervention against Syria should be aimed at bringing an end to the rule of Mr. Assad and cautioned against limited strikes that could leave the regime in place.”It can’t be a 24 hours hit-and-run. What matters is stopping the bloodshed in Syria and weakening the regime to the point where it gives up,” Mr. Erdogan said.
Albanian new elected Prime Minister Edi Rama said, Albania to support military intervention in Syria.
Edi Rama said, “We will stand with our alley USA at any cost”.
