Summer is still here in Greece, and yet swimming the focus of a holiday is almost over for some. At the long sandy beach of Artemida (older name Loutsa), a twenty five km away from the centre of Athens, Greek and non-Greek parents treat their kids to their sweet September last sea swim of the year before they are back to school again, which is scheduled to begin in a few days time. Access to the beach is easy, and you can go there either by motorbikes, by cars, or by the intercity public buses (KTEL) running regularly.
