This iReport is part of an assignment:
Birthday Wish for the 2013 Australian Federal Election
Please, don't vote for Tony Abbot.
I don't care if you don't want gay people to kiss in white dresses.
I don't care if you think I should be paid less because I have a vagina.
I don't care if you don't like other nationalities coming to Australia, I don't care if you don't give a shit about what's happening in countries suffering with war (or where those people have to go).
I don't care if you are happy to save money rather than install an upgrade to the 1950's wire structure to have fast Internet (I don't mind that in a few years, we may not have access to certain media due to our lack of technology compared to other first world countries).
I don't even care that you say there is no such thing as climate change, that there is no need to worry about the amount of carbon emissions, or the great barrier reef bleaching because of the temperature rise.
I don't care if you want to remove protection for low income earners, surely we will all be fine because we all have two parents working to support a family, right?
Abortion? Yeah, totally an act of convenience! Just pop down the corner medical shop and it'll be right!
Roads, hospitals, and schools will work fine with those cuts. Sure, payback the debt we have rather than support the reason we escaped the recession. Sure, we don't even need employment for growth.
I'm telling you, I don't care!
But it's my birthday; just for that one reason, please don't vote for him.
I will most likely cry, I will definitely be ashamed to be Australian in the International arena, and I will probably want to go for that job in Singapore.
