Archery Lessons are Growing in Popularity
Looking for something exciting and unique to do this weekend? The sport of archery is a long-standing tradition, but it is making a quick comeback among the most popular activities for kids. Archery Pro, one of the first national archery schools, has taken their camps around the country and overseas. Throughout the expansion, the action has been photographed in the above collection.
Rob Dunfey, the founder of archerylessons.info, is a 20-something sports enthusiast. He put his business degree at Loyola Marymount University on hold to pursue his path of entrepreneurship in the sports field. In 2011, the government of Ireland (a country normally known for it's rain and soccer) hired Archery Pro to teach archery lessons at parks throughout the country. The growing pace of archery has also led it to offer year-round lessons in United Kingdom. England has about 1 out of every 10 archery lessons booked by Archery Pro.
Archery Pro is also responsible for conducting camps in partnership with over 50 US city governments including: Carlsbad, California, Santa Cruz, California, Allen, Texas, Pearland, Texas, Santa Maria, California, Poway California, Arcadia, California, Scottsville, New York, Abington, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, and more. In 2014, Archery Pro plans to introduce free archery clinics at select places in California and Arizona. The archery instruction is popular among 5-12 year olds, male and female. Within a couple lessons, a complete beginner is able to learn the basics and safety. The lessons are available at over 2,500 public ranges in the US and Canada.
