Chair-throwing Thai politician disgraces Parliament
Thai TV entertainment has now taken a whole new look. Very often I would not label Thailand Parliament proceedings in Bangkok as entertainment but what transpired a few days ago is branded by many as a series of embarrassing moments.
The Thai Parliament is a place where lawmakers and politicians reside to deliberate about the situation in our country but when Democrat MP from Surat Thani, Mr. Shane Thaugsuban got angry, he lifted a chair and threw it over the desk in front of him. Then he threw another chair before he was restrained by members of the administrative security.
In another shocking incident during the August proceedings, the senior members of the Democrat Party had scuffled with police personnel in Parliament, where a politician had tried to strangle an officer of the law: http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-1024372
