As known, all temples was built in purpose of sacred to the gods of religious. For example, Angkor Wat is Hindu Temple while Bayon is Buddhist Temple. Since the time that Mahayana Buddhist rising strongly among Cambodian the way of sacred to the temple that practice by people had change especially for Hindu Temple.
As we can see in first picture is the stupa of Dr. Chey Non who believe on Buddha. When he died, his stupa was built on the eastern of Angkor Wat.temple.
And second picture is clearly told us that the believe of people is in Buddha not in Hindu or gods of Hindu. Angkor is Hidu Temple and was name Param Visunuloka during time that Cambodian believe on it but it changed. We can see that although believe of people changed they still keep temple and practice their new believed and regards temple as their sacred or as home of their gods that they believe to.
The third picture and fourth is the picture of sacred place to the Buddha that base at Mebon Temple former Hindu temple. The changing is not only their believe but they have their own story too. According to the people who live in a village around Mebon Temple, they describe that name of Mebon Temple is related to one story in ancient time that this temple is place that celebrate for late king who passed away that why the call Mebon (mean: The Head Ceremony).
And fifth picture is the picture of Pre Rub Temple which also known as Hidu Temple. This temple called Pre Rub is related to the the tale of late King ceremony at Mebon Temple. Villager described that the Pre Rub Temple is the funeral place for late King and after burned the late king body will change to other body in new world as it mention in the believe of people. So, that why it was call Pre Rub which mean changed body.
And in sixth picture was made by tourists who visit temples and toke piece of stone some were part of temple which damage or fallen.
Next is seventh picture that showed about group of tourist enjoyed showing their honest to old lay woman to get her blessing while visiting Preah Khan Temple. This temple is one of Buddha temple which build during reign of King Jayavaraman VII. And old lay woman here is kind of lay woman in Buddha.
One more picture is the statue of human which people believed it is the old woman with having a hunch. According to the older people around there told that when we visit this temple and saw this statue (old woman with a hunch) we must not laugh to the statue unless the laughter will get stomached immediately until they pray and make confess to the statue. This believe is kind of soul believe which exist in Khmer mind and old people always tell from generation to generation.
The last picture is the out side of Preah Khan Temple.
