    9/11 Remembered in Parkville, MD

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     becker1321 was moved when he saw this display: 'I was running errands when I saw the first flags and was increasingly amazed as I saw how far the flags were lined up on the street - over 7 blocks. Eleven years ago I was 28 years old and remember being woken up and told that the first plane had struck the WTC. I then turned the T.V. on just in time to see the second plane hit. In an instant, I thought about all my friends in New York and started trying to get in touch with them. I knew things were going to change, but had no idea how radically that was about to occur. Travel, security, history, media, communication, and community as so many other things were about to be irrevocably changed.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

A group called The Hope and Peace Foundation has placed 2,977 flags in remembrance of those who were killed in the attacks of 9/11. These flags line Putty Hill Avenue in Parkville, MD, from Harford Road to the Parkville Fire Department and pass by Parkville High School and Parkville Police Department.
