This iReport is part of an assignment:
War Games of Childish Adults and Calculated Risks
In Putin’s statement he said; “We are all different, but when we ask the Lord’s blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal.” A senior White House official, name not specified; replied “That’s all irrelevant.” The American people want to know in what ways were Putin’s statement irrelevant and which senior official made such a blanketed statement? So far as it is known the majority of the American population is in full agreement with Putin’s statement here. Each individual is different from another in many ways and whether the White House chooses to accept this fact or not is irrelevant; the majority of the population in America is a firm believer in God; whether Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Mormon, and many more. America is one nation under God and the American people are sick and tired of the new outlook where it is illegal to even say God, say the name of Jesus or to silently read a Bible in a public place where for hundreds of years no such harassment had ever occurred.
In this article it states; “U.S.-funded (if not U.S.-made) weapons began flowing to Syrian rebels about two weeks ago; a U.S. official said.” Again we have no name of a U.S. official, but we seem to have a really big problem here if “Fast and Furious is any indication. The article went on to say; “Coordinated by the CIA, the supplies include light weapons, ammunition and anti-tank weapons in addition to nonlethal aid the United States has long been providing.” Note that the “nonlethal aid” is not stipulated or categorized here.
So in essence we are to gather from this that the U.S. is actually helping this Civil War to continue along; mass murdering innocent people? I ask this question based on an earlier article released “U.N. report: Abuses on both sides of Syrian civil war” By Mariano Castillo, CNN which states in their first paragraph “both sides in the Syrian civil war have committed grave crimes in violation of international law.” In the 5th paragraph the U.N. states “it is the civilians who continue to pay the price for the failure to negotiate an end to this conflict.” Yet the U.S. continues to take sides and send weapons, ammunitions and more? What about the Russian’s aid in all of this? Has Putin ceased all aid to either side? How many more men, women and children must be sacrificed to the childish adult war games?
People are not calculated risks or expendable pawns for the amusement of those in power. Without people there would be no power to fight over because there would be no people under those playing war games to work and supply them with their needs. This is no game and these are real people with real feelings. The question now; is the U.S. going to stop all funding and assistance to Syria until that country complies? Is the U.S. going to really work with the Russians to end this situation? Will the U.N. take an active role in these negotiations and if necessary enforce compliance? Will Putin enforce compliance or will Russia back peddle? For the sake of humanity we can only hope and pray that the leaderships involved do the right thing for the innocent people in Syria.
