Most of the t.v. news was covering downtown Boulder and the neighborhoods to the west. We were shocked to see that the flood waters were within a mile of our home. When we saw the scene from Boulder Creek behind Ball Aerospace, I was in total shock. Ball is in east Boulder (Arapahoe Road and 48th St.). My husband plays volleyball at Ball, and as you can see from the video, the volleyball courts are now engulfed in a raging river. We have never experienced a natural disaster, so this was a shock to see. I was pretty frightened at that point, but wanted to take the video. The second video was taken behind the East Boulder Recreation Center on Sioux Drive, near the Bobolink Trail (a popular trail for runners and dog walkers).
