Idaho Springs, Colorado Flooding
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
A few steps away from a popular destination known as Idaho Springs Indian Hot Springs, a well traveled road is seconds from collapsing into the brutal flood waters. Soda Creek Road is a well traveled road leading to many residencies. Where the water currently runs, a camp-site owned by the Hot Springs, where 5-10 campers usually occupy, is destroyed. Local agencies successfully attempted diverting high water to diminish damage to the road, but parking for campers are currently a disaster zone. Susine, an employee at the Indian Hot Springs, says she "wishes the rain would end and the flooding would decrease." She continues to say "repairs to the campsites may take weeks to repair to previous conditions." We all hope the flood waters do not get worse!
