Syria’s Christian Town of Maaloula in Fear
When the Civil War began in 2011 the Christians in Maaloula avoided taking sides, but were eventually drawn into the conflict after security forces asserted restrictions intensified then opposition supporters took up arms. The fear is that if Assad’s secular government is overthrown then they will become the targets of Sunni Jihadist rebels demanding an Islamic state and the destruction of all Christian communities. Many were in Iraq after the U.S. led invasion in 2003.
In the second article one person asked; “Where is President Obama to see what befallen on us?” That is a very good and honest question that the American people would now like to have some answers to. There has been absolutely no media coverage on this atrocity what so ever.
This is all disconcerting when after reading this and having our own United States of America being turned against Christian’s I have to ask on behalf of Christians everywhere; just what is happening to our own country here in the United States of America? Did the U.S.A cause the Christian communities to be run out of Iraq and if so how many other countries over the years have this happened to without the American People even knowing this? What is in store for all Christians around the world? Are they systematically being run out of their homes and their communities too? The Christian people deserve direct answers to these questions. The Christian communities should know what to be expecting.
