100 Ways to Travel Better: Your tips
Traveling With Both Eyes Closed
For the past 3 years I've been telling myself I wanted to explore the world. Travel. I've always been fascinated with life and how we spend our time here on earth. I would love to see and taste the things we only read about in books or see on t.v.. I recently had a friend push me enough to go with him to Costa Rica for a few days. I fought with myself for a day or so because I didn't have the funds to go with school starting up a week after the trip. Down in the bottom of my gut I felt like I would never get a chance like this again. I was nervous about the trip since we hadn't booked a hotel or figured out what we were doing once we got there. Once we arrived over there I didn't care where I would sleep, what I would eat or how much I was about to spend. I only wanted to feed my thirst for exploring the world. I was bit confused when we would be traveling from one city to another city, the weather would be awful every now and then. Second day into the trip some locals informed us we were there during the slow season. Not sure we would have gone if we had known about it being the off season. Turns out we ended up getting discounts on everything from food to hotel. Here's a picture from the patio of hotel where we got 40% off. My tip for everyone is to think about traveling to a place during its slow season.
