I realize that to many, seeing these helicopters is "no big deal", but you *never* see them in Boulder. They've shut down our puny little airport that normal only sees pleasure craft and gliders (the trailers for which are in the foreground) in order to be full time for all evacuation flights out of the mountains. The video shows two of the many chinooks bringing in evacuees to the Boulder Municipal Airport. You can see some of the evacuees exiting the 'medical' helicopter towards the end of the video. And, yes, it was starting to rain (again) when I shot this video ~1pm Saturday 14th September. I suspect we know a few people that have taken these flights from the mountain communities of Jamestown or Lyons.
