Water conservation and food production are two of the biggest concerns in our world today. CubeCap Canada has successfully addressed both of them by inventing & patenting a new dripping technology called DripCaps. DripCaps have proven to reduce water & fertilizer consumption in commercial greenhouses from 32 to 50%. DripCaps are easily placed around the plants stem on top of any growing medium, covering and protecting it from many problems. Current methods of watering invented in the 1960's has only one feeding location and an open air design inviting problems and inefficiencies. With DripCaps the grower just pushes the propagation hose onto the cap allowing the water flow to exit from four different holes, evenly distributing the feeding dosage. The mostly closed design of DripCap acts like a vapor barrier slowing the evaporation rate of moisture from any growing medium. This method increases the flushing effect , reducing salt build up and allowing for an increase of oxygen availability to the plant. DripCaps block light, minimizing algae and related pests such as Fungus gnats. Fungus gnats preferred breading ground is in the Algae itself , their larva hatch and feed on developing roots traumatizing the crop. The caps are biodegradable reducing labor costs needed to clean currently used Dripping methods. Using the caps will increase your profit margin as they are priced to be lower than the amount the user will save.
