Residents of the Coal Creek Canyon CO woke up Thursday morning to discover that the only road in and out of the canyon had been washed out by flood waters. We live in the Crescent Park neighborhood, where the main entrance street turned into a rushing river, flooding the few business there(Gas/grocery store and liquor shop) with mud and water. We got out via a back route westbound into the mountains, for a 3 hour trip back to Denver. Now, that route, is also washed out, essentially isolating the community of Coal Creek from its neighboring urban area of Golden/Boulder.
