This iReport is part of an assignment:
Much Needed Rain in The New Mexico Southeast
In the midst of a drought, Roswell NM received some much needed rainfall last week. In the largest rain storm in recent memory the city of Roswell New Mexico gladly endured three days of the wet stuff, giving local farmers a much appreciated reprieve from a blistering summer that followed a warmer than average winter season. The following video shows the rural area south of town seemingly transformed into a shallow lake. Although the recent tragic floods have taken a heavy toll in the form of lives and damage, this video reminds us that for every dark cloud there is, indeed, a silver lining.
