This iReport is part of an assignment:
Some of the current gun laws are. You must be eighteen or older to purchase a rifle or a shotgun, and you must be twenty-one to purchase a pistol. Anyone with a felony conviction can’t even touch a round of ammo or anything to do with a gun. A background check must be ran before purchasing a gun. You have to have a federal firearm license to sells guns. When a firearm is shipped it must be shipped by the dealer and have a background check on the buyer.
I think they need to change the age of purchasing the guns to if they have taken hunters safety course then they can purchase a gun. This would be good because most of the time by then the people that took the course would already have their hunting license within a month. This would reduce the risk of a gun accident with a person that has taken a safety course, because anyone can buy a gun at the age of eighteen and not know what to do with it or think it is a toy and use it improperly.
There are some people that think guns are toys and use them improperly by pointing them at each other or committing crimes with them. So I think it would be good to let the safe people handle the guns that aren’t doing stupid things with them
