iPhone Released to Almost Empty Tokyo Apple Store

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Freelance writer AllanCook saw little sign of an iPhone 5S frenzy at an Apple store in the Akihabara area of Tokyo Friday morning. "The excitement for iPhone seems to have died with Steve Jobs, as quality as dropped," he says. "If people want to line up that's great. For me, I've never done it and I'd never do it!" Read the latest about the launch of Apple's iPhone 5S here.

Taking a walk through Tokyo's Akihabara, probably the most famous place in the world to buy electronics, and the MacCollection Store was almost empty!

There was little sign that the company had just released not 1 but 2 new additions to its iPhone line! If anything there were fewer customers than normal!
