When my granddaughter, Isabella, who prefers to be called Izzi, was 11 years old, she became aware of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and all the good they do for children who suffer from many different types of cancer. She wanted to find a way to make a large donation to the hospital so that in some way she could help these unfortunate children. After much thought, she came up with the idea of making string bracelets, selling them and sending the proceeds to St. Jude's. She has been doing this for three years now. She works long hours during the year creating the bracelets and has a table at the Colts Neck, New Jersey Fair every summer, where she sells them and has been collecting several hundred dollars each year. Every penny of the money goes to the hospital. She never reimburses herself for the cost of the materials that she needs to make the bracelets. I am very proud of her and know that she will continue to do this for many years to come. The picture I have included was taken on July 03, 2011 when Izzi was 12 years old..
