- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
This typhoon will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Hanging Habagat) - bringing mostly cloudy and windy conditions with occasional slight to moderate to sometimes heavy rains or thunderstorms across the country.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said that supertyphoon Odette caused floods and landslides not only in Luzon, but in the Western Visayas as well.
In Bohol, Philippines, no heavy rains but moderate to strong winds can be felt by the residents.
The tide is ebbing and opposing large surf as residents nearby the coastal area can see the storm tides.
Seen in the video is a small fishing boat being hurled about by gale force winds owned by a fisherman Boy Dija, 64, from Tagbilaran City, who decided to go fishing despite strong waves.
He told the IReporter that the waves today are manageable since he dealt with waves for how many years as a fisherman. He said that he was stranded for two days due to Typhoon Odette (Usagi).
After cancellation of trips yesterday, fastcraft operation resumed this morning. In the video, big waves battered the vessel but it safely managed to navigate wakes and waves.
