World Day of Peace In Baghdad
Naseer Shamma, the famous Iraqi oud player, took part yesterday in a concert organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the United Nations on the occasion of the World Day of Peace.
The ceremony was held at the National Theatre with the "Al-Ser Orchestra" which was established 3 years ago, this orchestra consists of 35 musicians, it includes a selection of Egyptians musicians.
Shamma played a collection of his works, in addition to some ancient Iraqi heritage.
The General Assembly of the United Nations allocated September, 21 to be the "World Day of Peace " to promote the ideals of peace among nations and people.
