British Designer Invents Ultra-Smart Watch
According to the expectations of the smartphone market the Smartwatch is going to be the next boom product after the smartphone. Major technology companies around the world are testing their ideas on the market for this technology but Bond believes it needs a new revolution in design and practicality to make the idea work for everyone's benefit.
The problem he sees is that many companies are trying to shrink smartphones into the smallest form factor, what he calls "Wrist Bricks". They retain the existing interface and applications of a smartphone but on a smaller scale. This can make them very difficult to manage if they use the same touchscreen interfaces as a smartphone. He says a new style of design and operating technology is vital for smart watches to succeed as a practical product for the general public.
To solve the problems of current smart watches Bond proposes a new interface and application system. This will be more streamlined and elegant than smartphones to create the best possible experience for all users.
The Ultra-Smart Watch will blend the style and elegance of the best wristwatches, the compactness of a state-of-the-art smartphone and a select range of streamlined smarter applications he names "Smapps" managed through an improved control and operating system technology to make it as familiar and easy as wristwatch and smartphone.
At present the Ultra-Smart Watch is at the design stage. Bond plans to raise money for it through a public crowd funding appeal. He already has two major client projects for the Ultra-Smart Watch in the film and car industries. Beyond this Bond's ideal is to work with all existing technology companies to licence his core technology so everyone can enjoy the same high quality experience in any version of such a watch.
