Linden College Fair Held at YCIS Beijing
The universities in attendance included University of California, University of Nebraska and Fairleigh Dickenson. Year 12 students at YCIS Beijing will have some very important decisions to make in the near future regarding their university applications. The College Fair provided a fantastic chance to have detailed face-to-face discussions in terms of what the represented universities have to offer. Further university visits are planned at YCIS Beijing this academic year and will provide further insights to higher educational for YCIS Beijing students.
The Fair was organised through YCIS Beijing University Guidance Counsellor Ryan Jordan in collaboration with Linden Educational Services, Inc., a company that assists regionally accredited U.S. Universities and regionally accredited U.S. styled/based universities to travel abroad and meet with various international and state schools across the globe.
Ryan Jordan states, “From Year 10 through to 13 we do everything possible to make sure students make the right choices for them. We start talking about bigger university topics with Year 11 and by Year 12 they are researching universities - looking at everything from admission requirements to campus size and life. This is also when students start meeting with university representatives through university visits and college fairs held here on campus. We have had close to 150 different universities visit from all over the world this year- from Oxford and Durham in the UK to Ivy League universities in the US. The Linden College Fair is a good example of the opportunities we try to provide to our students.”
