September 23 - National Pancake Day
The true spirit of National Pancake Day...which is to use all of the remaining milk and eggs usually for breakfast recipes.
A "pancake race" is held annually in England, where pancakes originated. Racers run with a pancake in a frying pan while flipping it across the finish line.
National Pancake Day dates back several centuries to when the English prepped for fasting during Lent. Strict rules prohibited the eating of all dairy products during Lent, so pancakes were made to use up the supply of eggs, mil butter and other dairy products.
Let's Celebrate national pancake Day with different pancake recipes. Enjoy!
