Dubai in the sky
Dubai touching the sky
Dubai is a constantly changing, sprawling desert oasis, blending traditions and excitement into a cosmopolitan city. Dubai has always fascinated me with the fast pace at which it grew into an International hub for trade and skyscrapers. The vision and accomplishment deserves praise. It is like my second home as I spent 15 years there and watched the city grow.
Dubai may not be everyone's cup of tea but it certainly is unique. The vast over-commercializing and materialism of the place may turn off those looking for something a little more traditional or authentic but there's plenty to see and do here. Dubai's two most distinctive landmarks are perhaps the Burj Al Arab Hotel and the towering Burj Khalifa- The tallest building in the world. There is often a perception that Dubai is a playground only of the rich and famous. This can mean that holidaymakers telling friends of a pending visit to Dubai can be suspected of a secret lottery win. Dubai is a desert filled with off-the-beaten path experiences. Watch word-class racing. Take your adventures to the sand with a safari. Or swing your clubs at internationally renowned golf courses. Now, here are some of my shots of this great city.
