This iReport is part of an assignment:
Obamacare: Your story
Before Obama care you were not made to carry health insurance. Now since the Obama care came out you will have to have health insurance. This act is made mandatory to have health insurance. Let say, you are in a car accident and need to go to the hospital for surgery and don’t have insurance or any money. Who will pay for all the medical bills? The hospital will have unpaid medical bills waiting to get pay. The positive thing with health insurance you will have to pay a deductible and the insurance company will pay the rest of the medical bill cost. This would help the low income families with their medical bills. Each month you would pay some money to the insurance provider to have it.
I believe that Obama care is a good thing but needs to be watched how it affects the country and other Americans. Healthcare providers such as hospitals and clinics are projecting to have a flood of new patients that have never had health care before. These individuals that have never had healthcare might be sick so the nurses or doctors will have to spend more time with them. I feel these Americans are in title to health insurance, but there will be many problems. There is already a shortage of nurses in the United States and they will become busier and busier as time goes on with more people going to use Obama care. The people going to check-ups will have a longer waiting line to get their check-up, because the new patients will be in the clinics or hospitals also. Obama care is a good thing for people because it is affordable healthcare. It’s excellent for low income Americans to get cheap affordable healthcare.
