Kids' Concert for Charity
Two teeangers of Indian Origin Bhsakari & Sindhu Budhavarapu gave a concert, Concert for Charity - to raise funds for a Charity Organization: Pearl S Buck International located in Dublin, Bucks County. They were accompanied by Swetha on Violin and Hariharan on Mridangam. It was on Sep 22nd Sunday, at Indian Temple Cultural Hall in Chalfont, PA. It was attended by 300+ people and $5500 in total was raised.
State Representative Kathie Watson who was there as guest of honor awarded certificates. She said that founder of the organization Pearl S Buck worked for benefitment of Neglected & orphaned children and it was fitting that two teenagers used their talent to raise funds for them. Marketing Director of the organization Pam Carroll presented information on the charity work done by PSBI and how it benefit needy kids in developing countries as well as how it helps local children in developing their personalities & leadership skills.
It was a non stop 75 minute concert with Kritis (or songs) from great composers. It was also an unique feet from two Indian Teenagers who learned their age old traditional form of music & used it to help other people at the same time trying their best to keep the culture & tradition.
