I am a 67 year old male, retired one year as of today. Due to changes in Medicare, I had the wellness visit with my Doctor earlier this year, and then had several expensive diagnostic procedures ( Colonoscopy; Prostate screening; Aorta ultrasound) at no cost to me. The tests were all normal which has allowed me to be optimistic about my general health. As a result, I am currently in the ninth week of a prescribed smoking treatment program and have been smoke free for one week. After fifty years of cigarettes, the jury is still out on this, but without the ACA I doubt it would have happened.
