I have a B.A. in Business Administration and a Mater's degree in Public Administration. My oldest son, Mark, 31, has autism. I was at Norton Rose Fulbright 5+ years. A month after a partner for whom I was hired left 9/12. A Firm Administrator laid me off 10/12, ending my medical insurance at midnight. I cancelled my appointment at Georgetown Med. Center for a brain MRI with contrast for HHT, my very rare blood disorder its hematologist diagnosed me with in 2008. I saw my son Daniel and cried. I could not pay $600 monthly for COBRA. My Amicar Rx for HHT is $408. I got my Spironolactone Rx for adult acne refilled at $35/refill. I paid my dermatologist later $80 for a new Rx+$37 to a lab for blood work. I got my Singular Rx refilled for adult asthma, diagnosed 2010 at Georgetown after an ambulance ride from NRF. After my 2012 layoff, I was a temp. A hospital gave me a free mammo. In 6/13, I was on the staff of USA for UNHCR, an NPO of the U.N. High Commissioner For Refugees. It laid me off 2 weeks before medical insurance due to its $ issues. My hope for $10 Rx's were dashed. I am under contract at the American Nurses Association. I did not get 1:2 staff jobs for which I applied there. I spend hours at home online applying to gov and private employers. My student loans, on hold now, loom ahead in front of me. msherrett
