This iReport is part of an assignment:
Obamacare: Your story
"Are you uninsured ?" isn't the question I find myself asking...
Daily, in many many different comments fields from those here on ireports to yahoo, Politico, Associated Press, Reuters etc...the comments are always the same.
A comment about how someone is looking forward to Obamacare is usually followed by a comment about how this nation has turned into a nation of user.
If someone says their unemployed, they're lambasted for be to lazy to find a job.
Although in the next breath you will hear the same person who is bashing the unemployed, remarking how the economy isn't improving.
No improvement = no jobs.
Or the jobs that are available are low paying and usually part time.
But that doesn't stop folks from making harsh and brash judgments about someone they know very little about.
What ever happened to simple and supposed 'Christian" compassion?
Or did Jesus say "only a certain type of meek" would inherit the Earth?
Since when has it become the American way to turn our backs on our follow man, regardless of how they got to that place?
Yes..."Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
But unfortunately, so many aren't even willing to give the man a fishing pole let alone teach him to fish.
What will become of us if we won't even take care of the least of our own?
