I have been uninsured for about two years now. In my state I do not qualify for Medicaid. I am employed full-time and the insurance at my job is too expensive. What makes this situation worse is that I have a condition called Endometriosis. In order to fully control this I need a specialist and our family cannot afford to pay for this out of our pockets. This has been a complete nightmare, every time I have a painful episode I have to go to the emergency room to receive help. Then I have to sit and wait for the medical bill to come in the mail and that is something that I also cannot afford. Being uninsured has really taken it's toll on me. I have had to find my own way of pain management and it has also caused me to miss lots of days at work. When January get's here, hopefully I will be able to afford coverage. I will try to save some money and hopefully I will receive assistance to get health insurance.
