Obamacare: Your story
healthcare and politics
We have elected officials that are suppose to be for the people, but its not so. Who is listening to the people? That's why I am writing this that someone may listen to what I am saying.
Many American people live off minimum wages which is $1160 before taxes. Now you have to explain, How can one afford healthcare coverage with the cost of living?
Our Politicians and Lawmakers do not look at the whole picture. You have to take everything into consideration when you make new policies and laws. Sure we all need healthcare coverage, but not all can afford the cost of healthcare coverage. Not even with the affordable healthcare act.
Most Laws are to protect us, but do they really protect us? The law requires every American to have auto insurance as well. And many Americans carry the minimum that is required by law. But yet there are still those that cannot afford the costs of auto insurance as they drive without coverage.
Now from experience as I get a little personal. My son was involved in an accident which took His life. He was pinned in His car for 45 minutes and then air lifted to the hospital. Now being in the hospital for almost 10 hours after the accident He died.
The medical expense was well over $160 thousand dollars. Mind you Oklahoma where we lived at the time required you to carry auto insurance of 25/50/25 coverage as every state is different. Now do you see the difference between the coverage of bodily injury and the cost of medical expense which is also under bodily injury. There is a tremendous difference between the two. Now where does this protect us and ones family when one dies in an accident, it doesn't.
The thing is everything is a commodity as every state and insurance company is different is cost. Which in return makes it about the money, not the people and their healthcare. POLITICS!
