Laurel Ingham, Security 101’s Nonprofit Services Manager, Introduced the launch of Security 101’s 2nd annual “Gift of Security” Program for 2013, specifically developed for nonprofit organizations serving Utah residents. The winning non-profit team will be awarded a new state of the art, Security Surveillance System, professionally installed at the organizations physical location. A local panel of community leaders will review all nominations and decide on the top FOUR. From there a public voting forum will run from November 1 – 24 with a winner being announced on December 4th.
When asked why this program is so important, local owner Nancy Ford replied, “The staff members at our local nonprofits are the silent heroes in our community; they provide a platform for the rest of us to serve and give back. I believe corporate citizens should “pay it forward” in a way that makes a difference”.
"Nonprofit organizations graciously give so very much to others, The last thing these organizations have is funding for capital improvements. We would rather that they spend the precious funds that are available on serving more clients".
How do they offer this program? Partnering with community leaders, staff, and manufactures for everyone to do their part to assist in implementing quality security systems to reduce crime at nonprofit facilities.
Last Year's Winner: In 2012, The Neighborhood House was the winner of the 1st Annual Gift of Security, sponsored by Security 101 and Honeywell.
