I went to the movies today with my friend who raced in the late 80's and 90's for Berlinetta Ferrari to see the movie "Rush" starring Chris Hemsworth as James Hunt and Daniel Bruhl as Nicky Lauder both formula 1 race car drivers during the 1976 season and the fierce rivalry and competition between the two. However the movie touched my heart. It was written by Peter Morgan and directed by Ron Howard- Kudos to them! I am not a big car racing fan but I am impressed with the passion and sophistication of Formula 1. This movie does not fall short of that. Hollywood tends to glamorize everything with it's fabulous sexy looking stars and for good reason, to draw the viewer in and make their points. But in this movie we can read between the lines easily. The script is fabulous as are the actors and actresses. Yes, there are clichés, but life is full of them That is my point. The movie was not just about race car drivers and a lot of noise but what drives a person within to become a race car driver. If you haven't seen it, I think you would enjoy it. #1- Is the helmet and accessories my friend wore when he was racing. Picture #2 is the suit. September 29, 2013. P.S. K3vsDad was interested in the get go when I said I was going to see it and he said let us know how it was, so I thought it was great and I'm going to see it again!
