Weekends in America
Plano Balloon Festival
September 21st 2013, a chance received to experience one of the beautiful events of the year “The 34th Balloon Festival” in Plano. Usually Saturday’s being one of the lazy days, for a change it was buzzing with around 10000 – 15000 people in the park making us cover a couple of miles for 90 minutes while locating the right place to park our car.
The wait and the toil to reach the spot were paid off well with an amazing ambience and climate. The place looked like a big family get-together with lots of laughter, smiles, excited faces, good variety of food and varied activities for kids. Apart from the hot air balloons which were the main attraction, something else that stole our hearts was the “Glow Show” where the pilots lit up the balloons, reminded us of the Christmas lights. Kids just loved it.
In short it was a fabulous day and worth capturing in my lenses.
