Shutdown over: What next?
The View from London....
We find it hard to comprehend shutting down a Government.
Will the last person to leave the US Capitol please turn out the lights?
All this over a budget that your President should be able to set anyway without needing approval.
Why are you arguing over the cost of ObamaCare? In most European countries they have a health service free at the point of use. Yes there are some things that private healthcare gives you extras for but as a cardiac patient with a pacemaker at the age of 47 I cannot fault the healthcare given by the NHS.
If the little countries like UK, France, Denmark etc can afford it then surely the most powerful nation on earth can provide its own citizens with free healthcare not just subsidised healthcare.
If a UK Government even hinted at removing a free NHS then we would scrap many other things first. What is more important than the health of your citizens?
