This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Shutdown over: What next?

    Unthought of Consequence of Shutdown

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     FayeMazz is a stay-at-home mom in Washington, D.C. Her husband is a federal employee who must report to work but is receiving no pay. She took her 20-month-son to Marion Park in Southeast D.C. 'I, along with another mother who was there at the same time, was just dumbfounded that they would take the time and effort to chain the entrances and post closed signs on a children's playground.' She said she feels 'extreme disappointment that our government can't work together to achieve something as essential a budget' and 'frustration that there seems to be no accountability and sadness that so many are misinformed on a lot of issues concerning our country.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

Knew my husband would be going to work without pay today but did not realize our local playground would be chained shut and a closed sign posted.
