As a retired veteran receiving disability and also a father of two young children, I find the partisan bickering over the national budget ridiculous!! I have saved my money for 2 months to take my sons to the national parks in the SF Bay Area, and after an 800 mile drive I arrive to closed parks. What's further is that the ObamaCare act is such a small part of the budget (in comparison to military spending and social program spending) it is crystal clear that this issue is purely political and NOT our elected officials acting as the voice of the people. At some point one of "leaders" needs to step up and do their job for the good of the people, not the polls nor the party line. Do what is right, compromise where it is due, and pass a budget that everyone can LIVE with. Compromise is not a profane word, it is a fact of life.
